Additional Info:	New Zealand qualified and registered teacher for Secondary Mathematics (Year 7 - Year 13). I have a Bachelor of Science (major: Mathematics and Statistics) from University of Auckland as well as a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Secondary) with a Mathematics and ICT major from University of Canterbury. Over 5 years of private tutoring experience for Maths. Teaching practices at: -Hillmorton High School -Riccarton High School -Christchurch Boys' High School I structure my tutorials to the needs of the students. I believe for students to understand maths, they need to be able to relate the maths concepts to things they are familiar with and deal with in their daily lives. Hence, I use lots of visual objects and everyday examples to explain concepts to students. From my past experience, I know this method generates an interest in this subject and students perform a lot better when they understand the basics and can relate mathematical concepts to things they know and enjoy. I am happy to tutor wherever the students are most comfortable and can travel to the student.
