Additional Info:	I am a certified Tutor from British Council Singapore and have been giving home tuitions for past six months for the local schools(PSLE English). I have a Masters Degree in English Literature, and have earned Certifications in “Speech and Drama”, “Pronunciation”, “How to teach English to Young Learners age 6-18” and “How to be an Effective Tutor” from British Council Singapore. With four years of School teaching and six months of private tuitions experience, I am confident in my ability . Also I am currently pursuing a degree course in Education. I develop and present comprehensive and stimulating lesson plans that facilitate all learning styles. In addition, I integrate technology to ensure that each student is able to comprehend and retain the concept and language. My goal is to foster and maintain an open, honest, communicative and supportive classroom, in which students feel safe, secure, special and appropriately challenged. My first Student teaching experience was on the primary grade in one of the eminent residential Schools of North India, the ‘residential teacher’ experience gave me an opportunity to build up a close proximity with students, understand their psychology and their unique need. This encouraged me to carefully prepare lessons that catered them as a class and as individuals. During my experience in Global Indian International School I made an avid use of songs, inaction and various forms of speech and Drama. It made the lessons lighter, more comprehensive and fun. I prepared the students for public speaking and for ‘National Debate’. It turned out fruitful as the school bragged a couple of trophies in the ‘best speaker’ category. As a teacher in charge for ‘Reading Program ’ for primary section I created a mini library in all the classes and a personal reading log, encouraged the students to exchange book over the weekends with their peer and discuss & share the interesting stories they have gone through to re enforcement. This made a remarkable change towards the reading approach of the students. I played instrumental in the annual year curriculum planning, Annual lesson plans for English primary section. Since last four years I have been with my own children. A full time stay home mom experience has taught me the most crucial part of teaching that is ‘Parenting’. Play way method infused with the right knowledge of phonics has helped my elder son who is four to read independently, the age appropriate books. Same I have been practicing with my little one who is two. I have realized that the right environment, guidance and support leads too a factor of ‘self motivation’ in the young ones which is most important for reading.
