Additional Info:	You’re here because math is giving you, or a loved one, trouble and/or anxiety. My name is Sam and I know how you feel. I was once swamped in geometry, and lost in the forest of algebra. Mathematics is often taught to a test, and as one of perhaps 28 or more students in a class, the teacher does not have the time to devote extra resources to the minority of struggling students. I was once a lost, struggling math student, and the fear of failure can become overwhelming. I come to tutoring with a love for mathematics, and I impart joy and enthusiasm for the subject. I have ten years experience teaching and tutoring math from pre-K to high school. I taught algebra to middle school and high school students in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. In high school I also taught geometry, algebra, algebra II, and data analysis. I am able to tutor all primary and secondary mathematics courses through calculus. In NYC I specialized in math and science for pre-K students at The Pre-School House. I encourage students to recognize the patterns that appear over and over again throughout their math course and go outside the box of rote memorization. In this way, you build upon your own found discoveries and succeed in your current and future math studies.
