After retiring from the Federal government in Washington, DC, Pat put her teaching and public speaking skills to use in a second career. She has taught K-12 core academic subjects, with special emphasis on math. A tax accountant, Pat has also worked with college students pursuing accounting and business degrees. Pat is currently employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools as an SAT-prep teacher. She is a member of both the National Tutoring Association and the Association for the Tutoring Profession. Her specific subject specialties include elementary-level reading and math; algebra and geometry; SAT and ACT exam prep; and building time management, organization, and study skills. Pat has had extensive experience working with ADD/ADHD students, helping them overcome executive functioning limitations.
