Additional Info:	I specialize in one-on-one tutoring of mathematics through Algebra 2 and SAT math. I also have experience preparing students for the math Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (or TAKS) test. My regular classroom teaching during the school day since 2007 has been in Algebra 1, but I carry Texas teaching certificates for mathematics in grades 4-12. I understand the areas that tend to cause students difficulties in mathematics as well as the fundamentals they they should have but do not always have when taking mathematics. However, based on the grade level and needs of your child, I can tailor instruction and materials to your child's specific needs. In the classroom, I have worked with a variety of students. These include special education students in both a co-teaching and resource classroom setting, English as a Second Language (ESL) students, and mainstream students. Being bilingual (English and Spanish) has been valuable in meeting the needs of ESL students as well as communicating with parents and guardians of those students and other community members.
