Are You or Your Child A Good Fit For My Tutoring Services? I love working with students of all ages and helping them to build a strong foundation in the Chinese language. The first year is a critical one because it builds the base of the language knowledge, and students will have to rely on this foundation throughout their Chinese speaking careers. It is also the introduction of a new language, and it needs to be something that students enjoy and are excited to learn. Often times if the student is struggling, it can be very discouraging for them as well as affect their feelings toward wanting to learn another language! In intermediate to advanced levels, I incorporate knowledge of Chinese culture, custom, and social and professional etiquette in my teaching throughout the courses. I tailor my teaching toward the specific needs of the students and focus on practicality in their future communication and interaction with Chinese natives. Who am I and how can I help? I am “Luke” Lejing Wang, a native Chinese who graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in Economics and Asian Studies. I have tutored Chinese for more than 6 years in the Twin Cities. I tutored Chinese at St. Olaf and also at Concordia Language Villages to more than 100 students ages 10 to 22. I have provided one-on-one tutoring services to students and business professionals with various learning needs since 2010. You can benefit from the 6 years of my experience in training, translation, and tutoring Chinese for business professionals, high school and college language students. I am committed to continued learning and development for both myself and others. Even though learning another language can be challenging, the rewards are immeasurable for all ages. No one is too young nor too old to start the process of learning another language. (and the sooner, the better!)
Fees:	$ 35.00 Dollars Per Hour Condensed 1 hour Sessions: $40 / hour Complete 2 hour Sessions: $35 / hour Tutoring Packages Available: Maintenance Tutoring, 8 sessions: $480 ($30/ session) This is for students who want to review concepts and review for quizzes and tests on a weekly basis. Students have a general understanding of the current concepts but simply need some added review. * Packages are prepaid * Sessions are typically 2 hours.
