I am experienced in teaching children with language-based learning disabilities, including ADD, ADHD, NVLD, Dysgraphia, Speech Delay, and many more. I believe that every child is capable of learning, given the proper, supportive environment.
My qualifications include:
Over 5 years of experience in special education for children, youth, and adults with learning disabilities.
Program Coordinator at the Learning Disabilities Association, where I developed academic programs for children ages six to thirteen.
High Five certification, Canada's standard for healthy child development.
My goal is to help learning-disabled children achieve success with lessons that are presented in a relevant, realistic and stimulating manner.
I offer specialized tutoring services that focus on developing fundamental skills in the language arts, strengthening study skills, and building confidence in a safe and inclusive environment.
As your child's special educator, I will:
Identify their learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic, or tactile)
Teach according to their individual strengths
Maximize their grades and performance
Design fun and creative lessons!
I obtained my Honours Bachelor (H.B.A) at the University of Toronto, St. George with High Distinction. In recognition of my work with learning-disabled children, I was selected as a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University in 2012. |
