Additional Info:	I first became interested in secondary teaching and guidance when working with a group of students, aged 12-17, in a tutoring session, something I have done since I was 17. This made me realize I enjoy working with this age range, and school experience confirmed teaching as a career choice. I have just recently finished teacher's college at Swansea Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom, graduating with a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education. I have a Bachelors degree in History and Psychology from the University of Windsor and also have a degree in Tourism and Travel from the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts. During my training I have undertaken two practices in Grades 7-12, teaching History, Geography, and some Religious Studies. These classes included students of a variety of backgrounds as well as educational levels. I am also experienced teaching students with ADD, Aspergers, Dyslexia, and English as a second language students. My time in school experiences has developed my philosophy of valuing each child as an individual, as well as part of a community. I aim to give children as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for future life. An appropriate, balanced, challenging and creative curriculum is essential in developing pupil’s skills, knowledge and understanding. I have also volunteered with a variety of schools and local attractions in education in order to provide a good educational environment for both children and adults. I have in particular come to understand the value of sharing learning objectives and success criteria with children. Knowing exactly what is expected and how they can achieve allows children to focus more clearly on tasks. This also encourages students to take more responsibility for their own learning and for their future career paths and lives.
Fees:	$ 20.00 Canadian Dollars Per Hour The fee is per student per hour. If there is more than one student a discount will apply, depending on how many students there are. Please just contact me if you have any questions.
