I truly value getting to know students as individuals, and enjoy figuring out their learning styles, what they understand and don't understand about a concept, and how to best help them fill in the gaps. I am experienced with explaining/showing things many different ways and have many resources to draw from, such as graphic organizers, practice worksheets, and simple scientific demonstrations. Through my work as a research assistant in a child development study, and as a volunteer in science enrichment programs for elementary schools, I have enjoyed working with students of ages ranging from 4 to 19. I recently left the teaching profession in order to focus on applying to grad school. Though I am no longer in the classroom, I am still passionate about teaching and sharing my love of learning and of the sciences. Recently I achieved a perfect score on both sections of the GRE, and am excited to help others do the same. SCHEDULING: Flexible hours, all days of the week. We can work in your home, local library or coffee shop of your choosing, or online. I am based in Cambridge, MA but can travel throughout the Greater Boston area.
