Additional Info:	My name is Ellen and I live in Houghton Regis. I have been teaching for the last 10 years in main stream schools and tutoring for the last 13 years. My main degree is in Pharmaceutical Science (Hons) and I have a PGCE in secondary Science. During my time as a teacher, I have taught children ranging from age 5 (Reception class) upto age 20. I have recently given up working as a teacher as I have two young children whom I look after during the day and I am concentrating on tutoring during the evenings. I offer tutoring in Maths and Science to GCSE and Biology and Chemistry to A2 level. I may also be able to help pupils enrolloed in foundation degree courses (eg for nursing or midwifery). I have experience in tutoring students who are enrolled on distance learning courses. I am an experienced examiner have marked GCSE science papers and AS and A2 level papers for AQA and OCR. I have applied to mark Maths papers for Edexcel next summer. It is my aim to provide support in all areas of the subjects that I tutor from subject knowledge to exam technique. This does however need input from the pupil and I hope that the tutoring options that I provide encourage those pupils who are shy or just plain busy to spend a couple of hours each week concentrating on thier studies. I am friendly and pupil centred and due to this, my past pupils have achieved excellent results. My tutoring area is a pet and smoke free environment and I have an enhanced CRB certificate. I occassionally run exam booster days for small groups depending on demand.
