Additional Info:	I am currently teaching 9th grade English at Illinois School for the Deaf. I am certified in Illinois to teach K-9 Language Arts, K-9 regular education, K-12 Learning Disabilities, and K-12 Deaf Education. My stongest areas are in teaching reading and language. I am finishing my 30th year of teaching. In those 30 years I have taught hearing, hard-of-hearing, and Deaf students in regular education and students with various, as well as multiple learning disabilities, at all grade levels. I have taught students one-on-one, in self-contained classrooms, in small groups, and classrooms of up to 25 students. I attained my National Board Certified status in teaching in 2011. I am looking to retire from full-time teaching in the next few years. I would like to begin tutoring now, in hopes to add even more students once I do retire. Teaching is my passion. It's all that I have ever done, and all that I want to do. Teaching is also how I continue to learn and stay up-to-date on the latest and most successful teaching strategies.
