Additional Info:	* Expert Math Tutor * Hi! I have been an educator for 11 years, teaching math at UW, and tutoring one-on-one and in small groups. (Honors Bachelors degree in Math, and MBA Masters of Business summa cum laude.) I am friendly, supportive, and low-key, and I just love to help people! Past results have been dramatic, not just in grades and scores, but in the student's satisfaction and sense of accomplishment. My philosophy of teaching is simple: organize and customize. 1. We set goals, we develop an action plan to achieve them, and we work cooperatively to succeed. 2. We customize our tactics and techniques. What works for one student may not work for another. Some people respond to pictures and graphs, others to words and logic. Techniques might include cognitive and behavioral strategies, games, real world props -- whatever works. But mostly I'm just a patient, articulate, and supportive guide to my favorite academic subject! (I should add that as a 4.0 Valedictorian, I am very capable of helping students in most math-related classes, such as physics, chemistry, business, sciences, engineering, etc., at all grade levels up through early college.) I look forward to the opportunity to help.
Fees:	$ 35.00 Dollars Per Hour Rates: $30 - 40. 1 hour minimum charge per session. Drive time (if over 10 minutes) charged at half rate. Just a 4 hour cancellation notice and pay no charge. "Getting to know each other" time is free. Online / phone / skype / email tutoring available, as well as in-home and at a library.
