Additional Info:	Teaching has been my calling for over 20 years. I love it and am dedicated to the success of all my students. I may not have a fancy degree or letters behind my name, but maybe that means I'm free to be a little more creative and down-to-earth than other tutors. You can be assured that I will speak plain English, or Spanish if you prefer, that the sessions will be geared to the student's level and interests, and that if a method doesn't work for them, I'll change it to something that will! Piano Teacher: I have over 15 years experience in teaching piano to all ages at the beginner through early intermediate levels. Some of my students have gone on to be successful church musicians, music majors, and piano teachers. Even those who have not made music their profession still enjoy playing for themselves, family, and friends. I use a modern traditional method (curriculum) with a variety of music styles and lots of games and activities to make practice and theory fun! I also have experience playing both classical and popular music and have performed in small bands in weekly performances. Reading and Phonics Tutor: I have over 5 years tutoring experience with children of different ages, abilities, and special needs. My very simple teaching style can be varied to work with any curriculum or level. It is also low-cost, you won't have to buy any fancy learning system or videos, and you probably already have everything you need to get started. I also tailor my teaching around the student's own creativity and interests. Many students have found their confidence in reading rise substantially after just a few sessions. Spanish Tutor: I have spent over 3 years studying Spanish. I've taken traditional college courses, worked with a private tutor, and spent a year living with a family in Mexico. Now I am married to a wonderful Hispanic man who was entirely Spanish-speaking when we met, and would like to share my experience and knowledge with others. ESL: I have 2 years experience teaching English as a Second Language both here in the States and in Mexico. Because I have learned Spanish as my second language and have spent time in other countries, I understand what it's like to feel totally lost in a foreign environment. I teach conversational English, focusing on pronunciation and phonics. I use a unique method that helps even the complete beginner speak correctly and clearly the phrases they learn. After reaching a certain level of proficiency of speaking common phrases and surviving in an English speaking environment, we will move on to reading and writing skills. Ingles como Segunda Idioma: Tengo 2 años experiencia enseñando inglés como segunda idioma aquí y también en México. Mi tiempo aprendiendo español como mi segunda idioma y visitando otros paises me ha dado una perspectiva en como es para sentir perdida en un lugar totalmente desconocido. Enseño el inglés hablado, enfocandome en la pronunciación y las foneticas. Ocupo un metodo unico que ayuda aun los principiantes hablar claramente y correctamente los frases que aprenden. Despues de alcanzar a un nivel de competencia de decir frases comunes y sobreviviendo en un ambiente de todo inglés, continuamos a las abilidades de leer y escribir.
